Government schools and schemes are open to all but still only few are able to avail it and are able to gain the maximum out of it. Still enough are unaware and despite of going to school aren’t able to benefit much. On reviewing and speaking to parents (EWS children) following contentions was heavily discussed and pointed out-
- Reluctance of the child to go to school because of monotony and inability to understand
- Failing to cope up with school curriculum, hence leading to drop outs
- Increasing Vandalism and delinquency because of inadequate care, attention and supervision
- Increased number of students in the classroom leading to failure of one on one attention
- No life skills training and co curricular activities
- Inability to socialise and develop peer relations
- Career options, motivation to pursue aspirations etc
Benefits of the program (For EWS children) (3- 14 years)
Generating awareness amongst them about the special needs children and their needs
- Sensitising them and educating parents about their rights and support by government
- Integrating them in a structured classroom setting along with special needs children
- Understanding classroom etiquettes

- Instilling Punctuality and classroom behaviour

- Introducing English as a second language (Speaking/Writing/Listening)
- Emphasising on the holistic development, providing sound care
- Stretching the limits. Helping them grow socially, emotionally, cognitively, psychologically
- Providing one on one care and help wherever required
- Improving communication, social awareness, self regulation etc
- Introducing extra-curricular activities, exposing them to different fields
